Lead Butter Operator
The Lead Butter Operator is responsible for leading the efficient operations of butter printing & packaging. This role promotes collaboration and teamwork within the butter room to foster motivation, increase productivity, and ensure the highest level of product quality. This is a safety sensitive role.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform day-to-day operations and minor adjustments of the butter packaging, microfix, bulk filler, and case packer equipment.
Verify correct assembly and cleaning of packager and printer and sanitation of butter room.
Perform accurate daily recording of stick weights, start time, down time, pounds produced, and pallets produced.
Ensure correct coding and packaging.
Ensures compliance with applicable policies, safety policies/procedures/best practices, and fair employment practices.
Ensure that the butter room is following good manufacturing practices along with additional quality and safety practices.
Handles confidential information with discretion.
Additional Duties and Responsibilities:
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
One year experience in a food production facility preferred.
Strong attention to detail required.
Demonstrated competency and understanding of machine operations.
Demonstrated competency and understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices.
Demonstrated knowledge and ability to work with required sanitation chemicals.
Basic computer skills experience with Microsoft Outlook and Excel preferred.
Ability to handle confidentiality in a professional and appropriate manner.
Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 80 pounds with assistance, ability to push/pull up to 2,500 pounds using material handling equipment.
Ability to stand for extended periods of time.
Ability to occasionally bend, twist/turn, reach above shoulders, and climb throughout the shift as needed.
