Sanitation/Production Team Member (3rd shift rotation)
The Sanitation/Ghee Team Member is responsible for performing sanitation duties and for the daily production of ghee. This would include using approved chemicals and the related delivery system to clean/sanitize production and non-production areas. In addition to cooking ghee, filling jars, hand labeling jars, and hand packing cases. This is a safety sensitive role
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform tear down and sanitation of butter packager, printer, case packer, microfix, trolley, butter boat, churn, and any other specific butter room equipment to assure equipment and room is sanitary and fully operational prior to start of production.
Safely use the chemical system to distribute and utilize accurate quantities of approved sanitation chemicals. Includes labeling of chemicals in all containers.
Assist with the production of ghee, including cooking, filling, and hand labeling jars.
Assist with the packaging of ghee, including hand packing cases, palletizing and shrink wrapping pallets to prepare for shipping.
Record ingredients used, finished cases and/or jars produced, and pallets produced.
Perform daily cleaning and sanitation of ghee cooker, hopper, pails and utensils, and production room.
Assemble ghee filler and labeling equipment after cleaning.
Complete ATP test swabs and document results for assigned areas.
General housekeeping, cleaning, and sanitizing all other areas and equipment.
Comply with appropriate federal and state regulations and CROPP Cooperative programs, policies and best practices.
Read and understand critical information and comply with related instructions, such as, but not limited to, chemical use and labels, Material Safety Data Sheets, Personal Protective Equipment, and Lockout Tag-out procedures.
Follow and comply with applicable good manufacturing, safety and quality assurance policies and practices.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Good understanding of good manufacturing practices.
Sanitation experience in a food processing environment preferred.
Ability to safely work with hot liquids and required sanitation chemicals.
Ability to frequently lift/carry up to 50 pounds, occasionally lift up to 70 pounds with assistance, ability to push/pull objects up to 2,500 pounds using material handling equipment.
Manual dexterity to perform frequent wrist twisting and bending motions.
Ability to stand for long periods of time and duration of shift.
Ability to occasionally bend, twist/turn, and reach above shoulders throughout the shift as needed.
Able to work nights and weekends
Basic computer skills preferred.
Good communication and problem solving skills.
Ability to read and interpret critical information and follow specific instructions.
