Why did you decide to come to work at CROPP?
I wanted to work for an organization whose mission and values mirrored my personal values, and I wanted to live in an active rural community where my family and I could garden and raise animals.
How long have you been with CROPP?
Since June 2010
Why do you like working at CROPP?
I like that CROPP is driven by its mission; I can feel good about the work I’m doing and that we’re doing. The culture is comfortable; the people are fun and passionate.
What has been the best experience or day you’ve had at CROPP thus far?
My favorite CROPP experiences are watching productive and fruitful meetings turn into hilarious bantering sessions between old friends and then seamlessly return to work topics. People aren’t afraid to be themselves at work—it is so refreshing!
What’s your favorite perk/benefit?
The best perk is walking the CROPP grounds and eating lunch outside while overlooking the Kickapoo Valley Reserve.
What’s your favorite Organic Valley or Organic Prairie product?
It’s between Organic Prairie uncured bacon, raw sharp cheddar, hazelnut half & half, Midwest pastures 2% milk—there are too many to choose just one!
Describe your typical workday at CROPP:
I meet with individuals to interview them about their current systems and processes and what they would like to be able to do. I document their processes and requirements, and develop plans to help facilitate the changes. I help articulate the challenges and resolve conflicts.
Describe your commute:
I get to drive through beautiful valleys in the Coulee Region, watching the early morning fog rise and the farms along my commute change with the seasons. I love living in southwest Wisconsin!
What other types of jobs have you held?
Before coming to CROPP, I worked in finance at a large, publicly-traded consumer products company.
What are your other interests or hobbies?
I love to garden and cook, go backpacking, biking, and Nordic skiing.
