Brian Gebhardt, 23 – Chilton, Wisconsin

Brian Gebhart, or “Gebby”, is a third generation farmer from Chilton, Wisconsin where his family milks 60 cows on 280 acres. Gebhart Farms also raises 30 steers and has been composting for over 30 years. One of Brian’s favorite memories took place last fall when he was disking a 100-acre field at sunset. He was struck by the beauty of the land and thankful he was able to be a good steward of it. He finds it satisfying to see his family’s cows grazing on lush, green pastures and takes pride in replenishing the soil.

Brian’s goal is to help educate people about organic farming and lead by example on his farm to encourage more people to know who grows the food they eat every day.
