Raena takes pride in raising calves on her family’s dairy farm in Cuba City, Wisconsin. She began feeding calves when she was nine years old and knows that raising healthy, happy cows starts very early in an animal’s life.
One of Raena’s favorite memories from growing up on the farm was riding around in a wheelbarrow with her sister, taking turns giving cows their morning and evening grain. Her favorite activities involve working with her family on the farm and so she wants to share this joy with others by having them come onto her farm to help with chores. She “couldn’t stress enough how important it is to know your farm” because as consumers we need to know how our food is produced. Raena believes the best way to know our food is to visit the farms it comes from.
