Organic Valley donates fluid milk, which is very important because it reduces reliance on powdered milk. Governor Tommy Thompson of Wisconsin and USDA Agriculture Secretary Dan Glickman praised CEO George Siemon and awarded CROPP/Organic Valley the distinction for the cooperative's formation and support of alternative agriculture during one of the worst farm crises since the 1960s.
