Cecil Wright: Director of Operations and Employee Support

As a member of the CROPP Cooperative executive management team, Cecil oversees the Cooperative’s sustainability initiatives, facilities services management, employee support initiatives (Admin support, on site organic café; ride share programs and vehicles) and is the local/regional community liaison for the Cooperative. CROPP’s mission, combined with its farmer, employee and customer base, demands a completely green approach to a sustainable business model. It has been Cecil’s mission to define and promote the Cooperative’s sustainability program. Green concepts are a part of every facet of the Co-op’s operations, and employees are encouraged to adopt greener lifestyles, both at work and at home.

In the wider community, Cecil serves as a board advisor to Fifth Season Cooperative, and serves on the boards of 7 Rivers Alliance; Northcountry Cooperative Development Fund; Maple Valley Organic Maple Syrup Cooperative; and Sustainable Food Trade Association.

Cecil lives with his wife, Sonya Newenhouse and their adopted son in their “Furnace Free” home (currently Wisconsin’s most energy efficient home) in Viroqua, Wisconsin. Cecil has been a zealous organic consumer for over 30 years. He loves soccer, wilderness camping and working on his maple farm.
