Ah, Nature!

Good Morning (or afternoon) Dan,

I have a couple of things that I would like to share with you:

Heard a noise that I am unsure of. It was late at night, the noise was a short shriek followed by a series of low hoots.

Owly to be sure but which one? I've heard it in the past as well. Was definitely in the woods.

Also last night my husband and I had the delightful pleasure of encountering our first hummingbird moth. I would not even have known what it was except that somewhere in the back of my brain I remembered you writing about them - at least I think it was one of your articles. Have you done any paintings of them?

Anyway, it was VERY COOL. We watched it for several minutes, working the phlox blooms. A truly magical experience.
