Thanks for your insight and information on bats. You may want to catch the last edition of Fine Gardening, Letters to ed. A physician states if there is a bat in the house, it should be killed and tested for rabies, as there is no way to know if one was bitten.As for us, we have frequent bats in the house, I continue to freak out when they are fluttering in my bedroom, and we do simply open the patio door to let them out. Meanwhile, we are still trying to solve the puzzle of how they are getting in.Our large German Shepherd dog is simply perterbed by the disturbance, and simply goes to another room to continue his rest.Karin
