I wanted to take a moment and write to you and tell you how much I enjoy reading your "Down Nature's Trail" articles and viewing your artwork and now pictures that you take (and share).  The way you describe the animals that you encounter/see and the natural surroundings is outstanding; you make us feel like we are there with you experiencing it together.  It is absolutely wonderful!!  I have been a fan for many years now.

I grew up in a small town in the N.E. and now live way down South.  Although my natural surroundings are now completely different (used to be woods and now it is tropical) they are very beautiful.  I try to take time and appreciate something outdoors everyday as I miss being out in the woods very much.  Most wild things that you write of and draw/take pictures of I remember (vividly) growing up with and it brings back memories of a GREAT time in my life.

There is so much too see, enjoy and appreciate if you just take a little time to watch and listen.  One last thing, I also wanted to say "thank you" for the way you describe different birds and their calls, I have learned a lot from you over the years.

Keep watching, writing, drawing and taking pictures, we all love all the natural wonders you are nice enough to share with us all.
