We live in Stillwater in the northwestern part of NJ. Stillwater, and some of the adjoining towns are perhaps some of the last rural and farming locations in NJ. But we are blessed that we still have a tremendous quantity of beautiful birds and wildlife. This winter we have the fortune of having a resident 8-point buck I call "Handsome". He is very regal with that beautiful rack. He seems to be a senior member of the herd that visits our little farm. We have many does that must have their eyes on Handsome. Now that there is snow on the ground they come to eat the corn we put out and they have been drinking out of our heated bird bath. It is so wonderful to have these friends around. Last fall I was fortunate to find an antler that one of the bucks dropped. It has a few little nibble marks from probably a mouse, but it was a prize to me.Thank you for all your wonderful stories and information. Have a Happy and Healthy New Year!Ann
