I love this time of year

Central Florida

I love this time of the year—it is fun even here in Central Fl to watch nature. I feed squirrels, birds, turtles and now a bunny. Some of my friends say we shouldn't feed them but I say I do it because we have taken away so many of their natural habitats. Every morning I watch the squirrels at play, they love the new box that they lift the lid and there are lots of peanuts. They have buried some peanuts in my raised bed garden, the little plants are getting quite big now.

Our treees and bushes are full now and we are experiencing very hot days. Finally yesterday when I was having solar panels put in it decided to rain. We told the young men not to worry, we need the rain so much down here that we bless it's coming. I do worry about the animals that live on the ground and underground during this drought and wonder where they get their water now. We have two birdbaths but that doesn't help them.

We have baby cardinals somewhere in our big oak tree, I hear them but don't see where the nest is. They come back every year, we have only been in this house 18 months but it is fun to watch the seasons change. When we lived in South Fl we didn't have seasons, it is cool enough here to have occasional freezes.

Take care, enjoy your spring and summer, we do.
