I have been reading your letters for a few months now. I enjoy them so much!!! I also feed nearly every bird in Idaho and squirrels too. I wonder where you are? We don't have a lot of the birds you mention. I just wanted you to know how lovely it is to get a letter in my box with all the wonderful pictures. Thanx.

Dear April,

Thank you for the kind words and for joining me on my weekly walks down Nature’s Trail.  Where am I?  My home is in the Kickapoo Valley in the Coulee region of SW Wisconsin.  I’m quite comfortable living in an old one-room school house, only a few miles from La Farge, the home of Organic Valley.

Yes, it’s true, some of the birds where both of us live are of a different feather but you’d be surprised how many are the same or similar.  Hope you enjoyed the picture of the Snow Buntings.  I wouldn’t be surprised if they were in your area this winter.
