Just want to say thanks for the descriptive window painted in Down Nature's Trail. A friend forwarded your newsletter to me a few months ago and I've been enjoying it ever since. It's a nice snippet of natural Americana. Here in Beijing we have little wildlife besides the cicadas, praying mantises, stink bugs, spiders and small variety of birds. There is a large population of stray cats and dogs to observe as survival is their beacon from moment to moment. It's strange watching a cat charge at a piece of food tossed on a sidewalk and scamper off triumphantly with a morsel in its mouth. And yet you give him a little pat and an involuntary purr whirs within. Anyway, thanks for a sweet look into the eyes of nature. It's a much appreciated window into life back home.
