Orange Juice FAQ

Where is the orange juice from?
Our lip-smacking, tummy-rubbing good certified organic Orange Juice comes from organic oranges grown by Organic Valley citrus farmers in Florida and California citrus farmers, and a collective of citrus farmers from Mexico's inland coastal valleys. We carefully blend 100%-certified organic juice from tree-ripened-sweet oranges, including Valencias, Hamlins, and Pineapple Oranges, to make Organic Valley orange juice the preferred choice at every breakfast table in America!

Is Organic Valley Orange Juice made from fresh juice or concentrate?
Organic Valley Orange Juice is not from concentrate (NFC) and is guaranteed fresh from our farmer-owned groves to you.

Is there any pulp added?
Organic Valley Orange Juice comes in three varieties: No Pulp Added, With Pulp, and Calcium Added. "With Pulp' features juicy bits of organic orange pulp

What makes the juice organic?
Wholesome, delicious, and nutritious Organic Valley organic juice is produced by cooperative family farmers working in harmony with nature.

  • The USDA organic standards are the strictest food production standards in the world.
  • Certified organic farms are required to follow the strict production rules of the USDA's National Organic Standards (www.ams.usda.gov/nop), and are regularly inspected by an independent third party for compliance.
  • Organic Valley farmers never use synthetic pesticides or fertilizers, leaving the tree free to drink up nature's waters and minerals, from blossom to harvest.

What are the health benefits of certified organic orange juice?

What is calcium-fortified orange juice, and what are the benefits?
Organic Valley produces calcium-fortified orange juice for consumers seeking additional calcium in their diets. We fortify fresh organic orange juice with calcium citrate, the best available source of added calcium. Calcium aids in the development of strong muscles and bones. With each cup of Organic Valley calcium-fortified juice, you will receive 30% of the Recommended Daily Intake of calcium.

How long will the orange juice stay fresh?
Organic Valley orange juice will stay fresh for 60 days after bottling and is guaranteed for 30-days to our distributors. Once the carton is opened, the juice should be consumed within 7 days.

Is the orange juice pasteurized?
Organic Valley orange juice is pasteurized at the extraction facility and at the bottling plant to keep the juice fresh and to ensure the highest quality product.
