About the Artist

Carrie Branovan has been photographing people worldwide since 1980. She has been published in international fashion and lifestyle magazines, exhibited in galleries in London and NY, and operated studios in Boston, London, Tel Aviv, New York, and Chicago.

Although her assignments have ranged from shooting haute couture collections for John Galliano in Welsh castles to kids in bibs for Oshkosh B’Gosh in backyards, she has found her bliss photographing organic farmers in the heartland of America.

Branovan sees organic farmers as true grassroots revolutionaries and the organic agricultural movement evidence of a shift in our collective values as we move toward a renaissance of community, living in harmony with the nature, and challenging existing paradigms.

A passionate activist, organico, foodie, and yogi, Branovan lives with her two question authority teens, Skye and Devon, and their two dogs in Madison, Wisconsin, when not roaming the countryside.
