The Kickapoo Country fair is proud to announce our newest partner, the Kickapoo Green Builders Guild.

The Kickapoo Green Builders Guild is an alliance of designers, builders, contractors, suppliers and consultants dedicated to the creation and maintenance of environmentally sustainable, energy efficient, and non-toxic buildings and homes.

Their goal is to supply the residents of Wisconsin's Kickapoo River Watershed and surrounding region, a body of professional experience, knowledge, and support necessary to achieve building projects of enduring beauty, sustainable service, and performance long into the future.

In addition they aim to provide an ongoing educational resource to the builders, professionals, and home owners of the region on the advancing practices and benefits of green building

Please join us for a full program of Green Building & Sustainability Workshops (full schedule below), as well as on-going demonstrations.

Tamara Dean, author of The Human Powered Home, will be set-up in the Green Village all weekend and will be giving demonstrations of her human powered generators.

Another exciting demonstration will feature Midwest Earth Builders' compressed earth block machine. They were selected as one of the Top 10 Green Building Products of 2008 by Sustainable Industries.
