I Miss My Chickens But I Love Organic Valley Eggs

I have enjoyed raising a variety of chickens for organic eggs, meat and compost for over 25 years. I have loved to clean out their coop and use the straw from their egg boxes and coop for fertilizing and mulching my fruit trees and roses. I have loved to let children come to my farm and collect eggs, pet and hold the hens and collect their brightly colored feathers. Besides eating fresh organic eggs, I have loved participating in a full circle of life that is both wholesome and natural. Development has encroached upon our natural biological systems in my neighborhood. In 20 years we have always lived in harmony with bear, coyote, racoon,possum and fox. However, because their territory is becoming less, a natural backlash is less available food and space for them. I have given up trying to barricade and protect my chickens from a hungry coyote. She only wants to eat, too. Organic Valley eggs are the ONLY eggs on the market that come close to the fresh organic eggs my children and I once gathered.
