Organic Valley Whipped Butter Available in Convenient 8 oz. Tubs
Spread the good news: Organic Valley Family of Farms' award winning butter is now whipped. Presented in convenient and recyclable 8 oz. tubs, the smooth Organic Valley Whipped Butter is available now in select organic and natural food grocers and will be distributed more broadly in the months ahead.
Sixteen years ago, Organic Valley became the first organization to sell certified organic butter nationwide. Since then, the cooperative of more than 1,200 organic farmers has won numerous national and international awards for the delicious butter made from the milk of their organic cows pasturing on family farmland nationwide.
Until now, Organic Valley's salted, unsalted, European style and pasture butters have been available only as sticks.
"While consumers have enjoyed Organic Valley butter in sticks for years, we received a great many requests for an Organic Valley whipped butter in a table ready container," said Tripp Hughes, who oversees product management for Organic Valley. "Consumers have been asking for a lightly whipped butter that is ready to spread across a stack of crispy pancakes or lightly toasted bagel, or spooned on top of a steaming serving of mashed potatoes."
For its first whipped variety, Organic Valley will be offering their salted butter, which it makes by churning pasteurized organic sweet cream to create a perfect butter consistency, lightly salting it during the process, then lightly whipping it at the creamery.
Organic Valley Whipped Butter is available at a suggested retail price of $3.69.
