When it's hectic behind the scenes at a deli or restaurant, who has time to slice the cheese? Organic Valley today is announcing it is offering three of its most popular cheeses pre-sliced to restaurants and foodservice providers.

Available in Mild Cheddar, Baby Swiss and Provolone, Organic Valley's pre-sliced cheeses will offer foodservice providers delicious organic convenience and the ability to control slice portions.

Organic Valley will provide each variety in 1.5 lb. packs. Each slice will be .75 oz., with about 32 slices per pack.

"In foodservice, having someone manually slicing the cheese takes up time and can cause on the job injuries," said John Marin, commercial division sales manager for Organic Valley. "It's also tough to ensure each slice is about the same size. By pre-slicing, we eliminate these concerns for restaurants and other foodservice customers who want to offer their patrons our award-winning cheese."

The first brand in the nation to offer organic cheese, Organic Valley has won 12 national and international taste awards for its cheese since 1996.

The farmers who cooperatively own Organic Valley produce milk for its award-winning cheese using sustainable practices, and without the use of antibiotics, synthetic hormones or pesticides. Unlike most cheese available, all of Organic Valley's cheese is made from Grade-A organic milk. Organic Valley cows are fed certified organic feed and graze regularly on certified organic pastures. The result is wholesome cheese, rich in nutrients, and free of pesticides and chemical additives.
