Cooperative Giving Guidelines
To be considered for a donation, your organization must champion one or more of the following categories:
- Family and independent farmers and rural community issues
- Organic research, education and promotion
- Parents, parents-to-be and child wellness
- Humane animal treatment
- Environmental education and preservation
Please read about our two charitable programs in the descriptions below to determine which process suits your needs.
Monetary and Food Donations; Silent Auction Kits
1. We require six weeks processing time on all donation requests. (Please remember: We may get dozens of donation requests in a single day, so be sure to send in a donation request form at least six weeks before the date that you need the donation!)
2. Fill out the online Donation Request Form completely and send by clicking on SUBMIT. Be sure to indicate your agreement to acknowledge Organic Valley's gift (see required check boxes on the request form).
3. Organic Valley will reply to your request within three weeks of receipt and notify you whether your request has been approved.
4. After your event, your organization must fill out our Donation Follow Up Form and mail/email it back to Organic Valley for review. It is very important to do so to qualify your organization for future donations from Organic Valley. Evaluation of results guides us in future grant-making decisions.
What is a Silent Auction Kit?
A year of free milk! The perfectly pure and healthy gift for your organization's next fundraiser. Our easel back display stands colorfully on your silent auction table, offering 52 coupons for free, certified organic milk—a cash value of more than $500. Please review our guidelines and use our donation request form to apply.
Sorry, our milk coupons are not redeemable in the state of Colorado and are not valid for Class 1 Dairy in the state of California. For California residents, a different display sign, offering a year of Free Organic Valley dairy products other than Class 1 Dairy, will be provided.
Farmers Advocating for Organics (FAFO)
FAFO accepts proposals for full grants ($5,000-$50,000) twice each year and small grants (less than $5,000) on a rolling basis. The next deadline for FAFO full grants is midnight, September 2, 2009.
