Position:
Programmer/Analyst II
Description:
The Programmer Analyst II will be part of a team responsible for business application development, application administration, database programming/maintenance, report writing and general support of computing systems. This individual will take a technical leadership role within the organization.
Duties:
- Designs, develops, tests, and maintains business applications, reports, databases and system integration programs.
- Creates and updates technical documentation for all applications/databases.
- Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical and functional specifications.
- Identify source of application/database issue in development and production environments.
- Provides technical assistance to application and database users.
- Serves as a mentor to others in the department.
- Performs design reviews
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Qualifications:
BS/CS or equivalent course work and 5 years experience in a business environment.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience with SQL scripting.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience with data modeling tools.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience with extract transform and load (ETL) tools.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience with ODBC, JDBC, and OLAP.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience with Visual Basic, Java, XML, and SQL.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience with Crystal Reports and Business Objects.
Demonstrable knowledge and experience with business analysis, requirements gathering and implementation of technology solutions.
Strong knowledge of PC-based office tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Networking.
Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Ability to work with limited supervision.
