Position:

Programmer/Analyst II

Description:

The Programmer Analyst II will be part of a team responsible for business application development, application administration, database programming/maintenance, report writing and general support of computing systems. This individual will take a technical leadership role within the organization.

Duties:

    • Designs, develops, tests, and maintains business applications, reports, databases and system integration programs.
    • Creates and updates technical documentation for all applications/databases.
    • Analyzes needs and requirements of existing and proposed systems, and develops technical and functional specifications.
    • Identify source of application/database issue in development and production environments.
    • Provides technical assistance to application and database users.
    • Serves as a mentor to others in the department.
    • Performs design reviews
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • BS/CS or equivalent course work and 5 years experience in a business environment.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience working with Microsoft SQL Server and Oracle.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with SQL scripting.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with data modeling tools.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with extract transform and load (ETL) tools.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with ODBC, JDBC, and OLAP.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with Visual Basic, Java, XML, and SQL.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with Crystal Reports and Business Objects.

  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience with business analysis, requirements gathering and implementation of technology solutions.

  • Strong knowledge of PC-based office tools like Microsoft Word, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint.

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Networking.

  • Strong analytic and problem-solving skills.

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Ability to work with limited supervision.
