Quality Assurance Technician - Information Specialist

Description:

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technician-Information Specialist is responsible for maintaining information relating to the many aspects of the Quality Assurance Department.  Primary responsibilities are to coordinate the documentation needs and requirements of the QA department.  Primary product lines requiring documentation maintenance are Dairy, Juice, Soy, and Eggs.

Duties:

o       Maintain Product Specification Data o       Assist QA Auditor with Vendor Survey and Private Label documentation o       Maintenance of Standard Operating Procedures o       Coordinate all documentation as related to export of products o       Perform microbiological, pH , moisture and analytical tests as needed to assist the team o       Provide ERP support as needed-releasing of products and backing-up other QA technician’s job duties o       Handles confidential information with discretion o       Document product/plant deviations o       Arrange samples to be sent to customers as requested o       Provide assistance on research projects on an as needed basis o       Attend associated meetings and work closely with other team members o       Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Qualifications:

o       Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs o       Excellent verbal and written communication skills o       Ability to organize and prioritize multiple tasks o       Commitment to accuracy and attention to detail o       Self-directed and willing to work in routine tasks o       Dairy/plant experience strongly preferred o       Quality Assurance/Food Safety preferred o       High School education or GED required/College degree preferred
