Position:
Telecommunications Administrator
Description:
The Telecommunications Administrator will act as a liaison among internal staff, external telephone vendors, and interconnect companies in all matters related to telecommunications needs. He/she will coordinate strategies to ensure integrity of in-house voice, data, and video equipment and its associated network connections. This includes configuring and optimizing all telephone systems and services, voicemail, and PBX communications systems.
Duties:
Architect, document and support telecommunications software and hardware at all CROPP locations.
Plan the telecommunications strategies for company call centers including but not limited to ACD to ensure that efficient and effective consumer and customer interaction is achieved.
Develop long-term strategies, manage capacity, performance, and recommend improvements to telecommunication network and systems.
Collaborate with equipment vendors during acquisition negotiations and installations.
Diagnose telecommunications problems, recommend corrective actions and implement solutions.
Develop, implement, and maintain policies, procedures, and training plans for telecommunication systems.
Remain current on new products, services, protocols, and standards in support of telecom and network systems development and equipment procurement.
Maintain SLAs for all organizational telecom applications.
Conduct testing and development disaster recovery plans to detect faults, minimize malfunctions, and backup systems.
Provide end user education on communication tools.
Other duties as assigned by manager.
Qualifications:
Associates degree in telecommunications, Network Administration, related field, or 3-5 years equivalent work experience.
Knowledge of cabling and wiring systems, network design, and installation.
Excellent organizational, interpersonal communication and customer service skills.
Education and/or experience using telephone IP based systems such as Mitel 3300 Integrated Communications Platform (ICP), Mitel Enterprise Manager and Ops Manager, Mitel Contact Center Management Enterprise, or Mitel Contact Center Client.
Outstanding problem solving ability and capability to deal with stress and tight schedules.
