Position:

Training and Development Coordinator

Description:

The Training and Development Coordinator is responsible for developing a strategic training and development program that translates key business initiatives into professional competencies for employees at all levels. Leads planning efforts to define workforce development needs and develop strategies to increase organizational, team, and individual effectiveness. Provides strong subject matter expertise in leadership development and organization-wide change.

Duties:

Analyzes and prioritizes workforce development needs and modifies or develops training and development programs to achieve desired results. Designs engaging training using various instructional strategies to ensure transfer of learning. Conducts training and facilitates team building activities or contracts with external vendors to provide services. Identifies key metrics and develops evaluation processes to ensure overall training program effectiveness. Provides coaching to managers in preparing individual development plans and work improvement plans. Manages special projects Designs, implements, and manages effective performance management systems. Prepares budget and monitors expenditures. Develops and/or modifies training and development policies and processes. Keeps up-to-date on training and development trends and best practices. Collaborates with other internal training providers to provide employees with an integrated training program. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in organizational development, business administration, education, or related field preferred 5 to 7 years of leadership development, staff training, and organization development in a business setting Independently motivated with proven ability to follow through on initiatives Highly engaging and collaborative style in working cross-functionally Great influencing and communication skills with employees at all levels Project management experience Experience designing and implementing performance management programs preferred. Ability to handle confidentiality in a professional and appropriate manner.
