great products!

When I was growing up, our local creamery made award winning grade double A butter. That was back when most farmers fed pasture in summer and hay in winter.
The taste of this brought back great memories. Thanks.

I really love this butter. The best on the market! Is there any chance that you will be testing it for vitamin K levels in the future?
Tracy at Organic Valley

Thanks, Marilynn!  At this time, I'm unaware of any plans to test for Vitamin K levels, but I'll be sure to let our R&D Team know that is something you'd like to see.

Jayme from Florida on May 10th, 2012
Are the pasture, cultured, and european butters homogenized? I saw them listed in the non-homogenized list on your website, but then on the descriptions of each one, there is nothing about homogenization.
Tracy at Organic Valley

Hi Jayme - Yes, all of our butters are in fact non-homogenized. :)

I think you should have an ONLINE grocery store. It is quite frustrating to go from store to store to make OV requests that none of them will fulfill. :( PLEASE consider it!!!
Tracy at Organic Valley

Thanks for the great feedback, Daniele! We'll be sure the appropriate department hears your request!

Bailey from on April 30th, 2012
Does anyone know whether this would be a good source of vitamin K2 MK4 (like grass fed butter oil)?
Tracy at Organic Valley

Hi Bailey - Unfortunately, we haven't tested our butter for Vitamin K2 levels, therefore I'm unable to provide you with additional information.

Great to see this butter turn up at our local Grocery Outlet stores. Stocked up big. It's the taste of the summer coulee for us expatriate Cheezers-turned-Mossbacks!!! Awesometastic macroyumness, and a great fit with our paleo/ancestral way of eating!
Tracy at Organic Valley

That's great to hear, Michele! Enjoy! :)

I am from Belgium and have lived in the US for over 40 years but never have I found butter that so closely tasted like the one from my country as your pasture butter, I LOVE IT, thank you!!!!
I still need to try the cultured butter to taste the difference betweeen the two.
Tracy at Organic Valley

Wow, thanks for the awesome compliment, Marie! Happy to hear how much you enjoy our butter, and that it's reminiscent of your past!

Vanessa from Memphis TN on April 20th, 2012
I would sure like to try this butter but because I was recently diagnosed with high blood pressure I do not want to purchase the butter with the added salt.

I am in agreement with a few others that I would like to see this butter with no salt added so that I can buy it for my family and I.
Tracy at Organic Valley

Thanks so much for the great feedback, Vanessa! We'll be sure our product team hears your no-salt request. Be sure to keep in mind, that while our pasture butter is made from cows at the height of the pasture season, all of our butter comes from pasture-based cows that are enjoying good ol' grass whenever weather & conditions permit. I'd suggest checking out our premium European-Style Cultured Butter (unsalted), made from our delicious, organic milk!

Diane from Michigan on April 18th, 2012
I have been buying your pasture butter for a number of years now because of the increased levels of beneficial fats but my local store was out of it at one point and so I bought the regular salted butter and was surprised to see that the regular butter was actually much deeper yellow in color than the pasture butter. Any idea why that would be?
Tracy at Organic Valley

Hi Diane - You're right, traditionally our pasture butter does have a deeper hue because it only comes from cows at the height of the pasture season. However, our other butters do tend to vary in color with the season. In the summer, when cows are fed primarily on pasture, the cream contains more beta carotene giving it a deeper yellow. In the winter, when cows are fed more dried forages, the opposite is true. The region from which it's produced can also be a factor in coloring differences.
