I purchase your shelf stable milk to use in making yogurt because it doesn't require heating. My culture is inoculated at room temperature. If I purchased your UHT chilled product could I just bring it to room temperature in a water bath and inoculate with my yogurt culture. In other words, the only difference between the shelf stable vs. Chilled UHT milk is the packaging and longevity? Thanks,

Hi David - Good news, our shelf-stable whole milk is perfectly safe for non-refrigerated storage. The process used to package our ultra pasteurized milk asptically, allows it to remain fresh for up to six months (prior to opening) while being moved between refrigerated and non-refrigerated conditions. You'll just want to be careful that these conditions don't fall below 33 degrees F or exceed 85 degrees F. Hope this helps, but please let us know if you have any additional questions. I just returned from living in Europe for the last 6 years and became very used to using UHT Organic Whole Milk for my lattes. I was really happy to find it at one Srouts location, but would appreciate seeing at Whole Foods and other Sprouts as I don't live close to that location. Please keep making it!

I love the UHT milk whole for making my own yogurt. No heating required - just mix with starter yogurt and put in yougurt maker. Voila! The best! Unfortunately I CANNOT find it in town anymore! Help!

I would love to see our stores carry this item. I have seen it south as a 3 pack but here I only saw it once.... each box @3.99!!! Such a wonderful item for SE Alaska. We have other shelf stable milk available but I would love to find organic shelf stable milk. Will this product return???

The UHT process damages the nutritional content of the milk. Just give us milk that needs refrigeration.
