Many people think brown eggs equals organic, but egg color is based on the breed of chicken! Our family farmers feed their chickens chlorophyll-rich plants outdoors and alfalfa in the winter, contributing to deep yellow yolks as well as oyster shells and natural minerals for strong eggshells.

Grade A Organic Large Brown Eggs.

I rely heavily on the cornucopia institute ratings on organic food brands and OV milk was rated excellent which put me at easy to continue to purchase your milk. However, OV organic eggs did not rate so well enough to deter me from buying them anymore. I am willing to pay $6 a dozen for other brand which has examplary rating and is certified humand with hens raised on pasture.
Hi Monica, our Farmer-Owner Board of Directors has chosen not to participate in surveys based on single party, subjective interpretations of organic, which disparage organic and attack other organic producers. Cornucopia Institute’s communication tactics lack community spirit and have little tolerance for “continual improvement,” a tenet of the organic standards. Thus we declined to participate in the egg survey. For not participating we should have received a rating of "0" in their report, but instead we were assigned a rating based on information that was in part inaccurate. You can get more details about our egg program, and about inaccuracies in CI's report, at http://ov.coop/3xo.
I will definitely try the other products including the eggs if the milk tastes this good!
Hi Calt,
It's never advised to eat eggs raw. However, we are proud that our farmer-owners raise healthy hens in harmony with nature -- the best way to produce healthy eggs!
