I have a similar comment as Angie from oklahoma above. My 16 month old son love the cheese sticks by Organic Valley and I love it for it's organic. But the sodium is too high and I am starting to consider whether or not I should should switch to a different product!

I saw the reply above, I want to reduce sodium, not fat. Little ones need fat to grow. Can you PLEASE put less sodium in the cheese?

Can you buy you preserve shelf life of your cheese sticks buy freezing them? My son loves them and they are great for lunches. I tend to buy things in bulk when they are on sale but I am worried about keeping them fresh past the expiration date.

Thanks again for making such great products!

Dear Wendy, We do not recommend freezing cheese because it will alter the texture and/or flavor of it. It is not a health concern, strictly a sensory issue. You may want to try freezing a stick or two and see what you think of the results.

Organic Valley cheese is best consumed before its sell-by date.

I hope that this is helpful!

My 18 month old daughter loves your cheese. I love it because it is organic. However, it has a bit too much sodium. Is there a way you can work on this? 270gms it is quite a lot for the little ones.....the idea is to keep our kids healthy, isn't it?
Angie at Organic Valley

Hi Angie, Thank you for the comment; I will pass it along to our product development department. The Mozzarella "string cheese" Stringles have 210 mg of sodium each; the Colby and Cheddar versions are slightly lower with 200 mg and 170 mg respectively.

We also offer a reduced fat, reduced sodium cheddar that has 125 mg per ounce.

Can you show the nutritional facts for an individual "Stringle"? That is, fat, carbohydrate, protein, vitamins, minerals. With thanks for your great idea!

Where does your Microbial Enzymes come from? It doesn't specify "not from animals".
Angie at Organic Valley

Hi Billie, Our microbial enzymes are produced by a controlled fermentation process and are not sourced from animals.

At this time we have five cheeses with animal-based enzymes: Medium, Sharp, and Extra-Sharp Vermont Cheddar (contain rennet), and Blue Cheese Crumbles and the Romano in our Italian Blend Shredded Cheese (contain lipase derived from animals). On these cheeses the ingredients clearly state that they are from animals. All of our other cheeses are vegetarian-friendly, with enzymes from non-animal sources. See our FAQ for more.

Hello! What kind of plastic do you use to wrap these?
Angie at Organic Valley

Hi, The wrap is considered #7 plastic because there are multiple layers, but the actual construction is proprietary. Our supplier has confirmed that there are no pthalates, BPA, or PVC used in the Stringles or sticks packaging.

Are Stringles individually wrapped within the package?
Mike at Organic Valley

Yes, they are. All our Stringles are individually wrapped, making them convenient for lunch boxes, backpacks, and purses across America!

Does the Stringles come in reduced fat version >I could not find it on your website.
Thank you.
Angie at Organic Valley

Hi Sunny, The mozzarella string cheese is made with part skim milk, so it is reduced fat.
