Our ultra pasteurized organic milk contains all the wholesome goodness you expect from Organic Valley. We start with fresh, whole milk from pastured cows on the organic family farms of our cooperative. The milk is ultra pasteurized and then homogenized. Ultra pasteurization is a special flash heating and cooling technology that keeps milk fresh and nutritious up to three times longer than traditionally pasteurized varieties. Many people prefer this type of milk for its longer shelf life. Ultra pasteurized milk is available in quarts and half gallons.

I have been looking for an alternative to the mass produced dairy that is most prevalent in stores. I tried many non-dairy options but I really love milk and they just didn't satisfy me. Until I tried your milk I thought I would just have to get used to the taste. Your milk is delicious and that it is organic is even better!

Since OV has been ULTRA pasteurizing their milk, I can no longer drink it. The pasteurized milk used to be relatively good tasting because they did not kill everything in it. But the ULTRA pasteurized tastes like watered-down paint. I was an OV customer for years but this stuff makes me sick to my stomach. Good luck.

We still produce traditionally pasteurized (HTST) milk as well as the ultrapasteurized. In your area you will likely see our HTST milk in "Northeast Pastures" cartons; if you are close to NYC you may see our "New York Fresh cartons." - depends where your local store gets their orders. All of our milk gallons are HTST as well.

If your local store is only carrying Ultrapasteurized, you can ask the dairy manager if they will bring in pasteurized. Or see if another store in your area stocks our traditionally pasteurized milk.
