For some reason I can tolerate this yogurt, whereas I can't tolerate most cultured dairy yet due to getting over a long-standing illness. Must be your pro and pre-biotic blend. I'd be curious to know why exactly if anyone can shed any more light. Thank you for making this product!

Absolutely LOVE your Berry Yogurt on my cereal but I do find myself wishing it had a slightly lower calorie count (140 or, preferably, less) and sweetness. I've tried the Plain and it just doesn't do it for me so I have to stick to the Berry but again, wish it had less calories and sweetness.

I just recently discovered the OV drinkable yogurt and am in love with it! I find it a quick, easy, and delicious way to work the benefits of yogurt into my healthier lifestyle. I've been alternating between the berry and vanilla with breakfast and am wanting to start incorporating the plain into some of my cooking. GREAT product, OV!

Curious to know why the probiotics are good only until the expiration date. I have a few bottles that say they expired on May 15th, but they are still delicious and have a lovely fizz to them. Please explain about the expiration date.
mIEKAL at Organic Valley

The probiotics in the pourable yogurt may be active past the expiration date but not at the level that we guarantee. We have done testing to confirm the counts and have determined the expiration date based, in part, on those figures.

We can not recommend the consumption of any product after the expiration date. The "fizz" is the result of the product beginning to ferment.

Lower-glycemic index?-26g of sugar. I would say anything below 20g would be lower-glycemic index. The sugar seems to negate the health aspect of the yogurt.
Angie at Organic Valley

The Glycemic Index (GI) is not a measure of the number of grams per  serving, but rather it is a measure of the effects of carbohydrates on  blood sugar levels, a lower glycemic index suggests slower rates of  digestion and absorption of the foods' carbohydrates.  Foods are considered to be Low GI when they index below 55. The organic agave we use in our yogurt is mostly fructose, which indexes at 17— well below the 55 threshold and much lower than table sugar which indexes at 65.

For consumers concerned about minimizing their sugar intake, Organic Valley Plain Yogurt has no sugar added. It contains only the naturally occurring sugars from the cultured milk (11 grams of naturally occurring sugar per serving). Our Berry Yogurt is sweetened with organic agave, organic whole berry fruit puree and juice, which together add a total 15 grams of sugar per serving. While this is not a "low sugar" product, agave's naturally sweeter taste means that we are able to achieve the same taste with less sweetener (fewer grams of sugar) than if we were sweetening with cane or beet sugar.

I liked the idea of pouring yogurt on my cereal instead of milk. I had occasionally mixed cereal in with yogurt, but this seemed different, and easier. It is. Unfortunately, my grocer only carries the flavored yogurt, so I tried the berry. I don't care for the artificial taste. I know there are no artificial ingredients in it, but the addition of flavoring gives it, to my taste, an unnaturally intense taste. If I could get the plain, I would probably use it gladly.
