If the best things in life aren't always free, at least they should be simple. Serve this uncomplicated, one-pan bread pudding warm with applesauce, maple syrup or Organic Valley whipped cream.
3 cups Organic Valley French Vanilla Half & Half or French Vanilla Non-Dairy Soy Creamer
4 large Organic Valley Eggs
1/2 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup raisins, dried cherries or dried cranberries (or other dried fruit)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 teaspoon cinnamon
3 tablespoons Organic Valley Butter, melted
4 medium apples
8 cups cubed stale bread
1. Heat oven to 350 degrees. Butter a large baking dish.
2. Mix the milk and eggs until smooth in the baking dish. Stir in the brown sugar, dried fruit, vanilla, cinnamon and melted butter.
3. Peel and chop apples; add to mixture in pan. Add bread cubes and mix thoroughly.
4. Bake until set, 40 to 50 minutes. Serve warm.
