Organic Valley’s Raw Sharp Cheddar elevates an ordinary grilled cheese sandwich to special-meal status.
Spread two bread slices with softened butter. Make a sandwich, buttered side out, with cheese and filling(s) of your choice. Heat skillet over medium flame. Grill sandwich(es) until both sides are browned and cheese is melted. Serve at once. Makes any number of servings.
Want to gild the lily? Add any of these fillings to the sandwich before grilling: thin-sliced sweet onions, thin-sliced high-quality ham, roasted red peppers, sauteed wild mushrooms, pickled jalapeños, sliced vine-ripened tomatoes, sliced tart apples, chopped green onions, minced dried pears, a sprinkle of minced fresh rosemary, dill pickle rounds, etc.
