Sometimes it’s amazing how a little thing can make a big difference. Add a sprinkling of chopped fresh herbs to your next grilled Organic Valley cheese sandwich and you’ll see what I mean. Here are several suggestions for cheeses and herbs that complement each other:

 

·        Raw Sharp Cheddar & thyme

·        Mild Cheddar & cilantro

·        Blue Cheese Crumbles & tarragon

·        Baby Swiss & lemon thyme

·        Provolone & basil

·        Feta & dill

·        Monterey Jack & oregano

·        Pepper Jack & chives

Ingredients

Directions

1. Spread one side of each of the bread slices with softened butter.

 

2. Make sandwiches, butter side out, with the cheese and herb of your choice.

 

3. Heat a large, heavy skillet or cast iron griddle over medium flame 5-10 minutes. Grill sandwiches until both sides are browned and cheese is melted. Use a sharp knife to cut them in halves or quarters. Serve immediately.
