Grilled Cheese and Herb Sandwiches

Sometimes itís amazing how a little thing can make a big difference. Add a sprinkling of chopped fresh herbs to your next grilled Organic Valley cheese sandwich and youíll see what I mean. Here are several suggestions for cheeses and herbs that complement each other:

 

        Raw Sharp Cheddar & thyme

        Mild Cheddar & cilantro

        Blue Cheese Crumbles & tarragon

        Baby Swiss & lemon thyme

        Provolone & basil

        Feta & dill

        Monterey Jack & oregano

        Pepper Jack & chives

Ingredients

Directions

1. Spread one side of each of the bread slices with softened butter.

 

2. Make sandwiches, butter side out, with the cheese and herb of your choice.

 

3. Heat a large, heavy skillet or cast iron griddle over medium flame 5-10 minutes. Grill sandwiches until both sides are browned and cheese is melted. Use a sharp knife to cut them in halves or quarters. Serve immediately.
