Organic Valley Dinner Rolls

Soft and chewy, these dinner rolls are blessed with organic goodness fresh from the farm and fun little poppy seeds too!This recipe is specifically written for the use of a bread machine.



Please note: Bread Machine required.

Put all the ingredients, except the low-fat milk and seeds, in the inner pan in the order listed, or in the reverse order if the manual of your machine specifies dry ingredients first. Select dough setting (or the equivalent for your machine). Push Start. When the machine beeps after 1 hour and 20 minutes, remove dough. Turn off the machine.

Put the dough on a floured work surface. Gently roll and stretch it into a 12-inch rope. Slice the rope into 12 pieces and form into balls. Put the dough balls in a lightly greased 10-inch square pan, leaving very little room between them. Cover rolls with a damp kitchen towel or plastic wrap and let stand for about 45 minutes, until almost doubled in volume.

Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Brush the tops of the rolls with milk and sprinkle with poppy seeds (can substitute sesame seeds). Bake for 12 to 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
