When you’re really crunched for time in the morning, you can whip up this smoothie in no time and know that your kids are kicking off the day with something nutritious. You can substitute fresh fruit, but you may want to use a frozen banana instead of a ripe one, or add a handful of ice cubes for a frosty finish. A smoothie also makes a terrific midday snack when packed in an insulated thermos. Don’t forget to send along a straw!

Ingredients

Directions

Add the fruit first, then the yogurt, juice, and 1 tablespoon of sweetener.

Blitz on high until smooth. Taste for sweetness, adding additional sweetener if fruit is tart, then blitz again briefly to blend.

Pour and serve.
