
Pesto Sandwich Spread
A little dab will offer bright basil and parmesan pizazz to any sammy or raw veggie concoction. Raw walnuts will assist in boosting brain nutrition, too!

Ingredients:
6 whole fresh basil leaves
3 medium garlic cloves
8 ounces Organic Valley Cream Cheese (softened)
1 cup Organic Valley Shredded Parmesan Cheese
1 cup walnuts (raw)
1/3 cup extra virgin olive oil
black pepper (to taste)
Instructions:
In a food processor, blend together fresh basil and garlic until finely chopped. Add softened cream cheese, walnuts, parmesan and olive oil; process until smooth. Transfer spread to a serving bowl and garnish with fresh basil leaves. Or store in an airtight container, place in the fridge for schmearing on sandwiches or dressing up any veggie snack!

Sounds yummy and I plan to try this but I don't have a food processor so I'll have to figure out another way to make this. Also wondering what a "sammy" is?
