Sensational Cinnamon Roasted Chicken



Cinnamon blesses tender chicken for a simple roasted meal.

Ingredients:

6 pounds Organic Prairie Whole Young Chicken
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon Organic Valley European-style Cultured Butter

Instructions:

Place frozen whole chicken in a pan to thaw in the refrigerator. (Thawing times may vary due to size of chicken and temp. of the refrigerator.)

Once thawed, remove the outer packaging and bag of giblets from the center of the chicken. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Brush chicken with melted butter and worcestershire sauce. Dust with cinnamon, garlic and chili powder. Loosely cover with a foil tent. Baking times will vary, but when the chicken is approximately 15 minutes from perfection, remove foil tent.

Bake, uncovered, until the internal temperature reaches 175 degrees, and no pink color is detected. The aroma should be heavenly and the skin should be browned and slightly crispy.

Serving Suggestions:

Add scrubbed sweet potatoes, carrots, onions, parsnips and celery into the roasting pan for a flavorful feast.
