To Growing It Yourself
There are a lot of food options on your grocery store shelves these days. Some have sleek packaging. Some shout louder or bolder claims about this or that. And some try to give off the appearance of what they are not. Making choices can be tough, which is why we advise that you just “look for the organic seal.” All of our Organic Valley® products are USDA Certified Organic. Here’s why we believe they are worth reaching for.
Protecting Where Your Food Comes From

When you choose Organic Valley, you’re choosing more than organic dairy and eggs. You’re helping protect where your food comes from — organic family farms that nourish the land, care for animals, and help to keep ecosystems thriving. More than 100,000 family farms have been lost in the last decade, and just 2,500 organic family dairy farms remain. That’s why every Organic Valley® product you purchase matters. By supporting organic family farms, you help keep them farming — and protect the land, animals, and food system for future generations.

Pioneers in USDA Certified Organic
Before “organic” was an official USDA program, it was just a scrappy group of farmers who thought food should be raised with care — not synthetic chemicals. Our cooperative’s founding CEO, George Siemon, literally helped write the very first organic standards on an orange piece of paper (true story). Those early roots helped shape the national organic standards we trust today.

A Good Choice for You
USDA Certified Organic is more than a label. It’s a powerful promise: wholesome, organic food grown and raised under the standards of the National Organic Program, which means without the use of synthetic pesticides, artificial growth hormones, antibiotics, or GMOs. Choosing Organic Valley® products means choosing food that’s produced with great care to help you live a vibrant life.

A Good Choice for Animals
They nourish us. We nourish them — with outdoor access, pastures, clean water, organic feed, and attentive care — all in compliance with the USDA National Organic Program. Healthy, well-cared-for animals produce quality, nourishing food. Discover the difference organic animal care makes, from pasture to plate.

A Good Choice for the Planet
By farming organically, we estimate that our farms have collectively kept over 540 million pounds of agrichemicals off the land since our founding in 1988. It is part of our cooperative’s mission to grow nourishing organic food that supports a vibrant life for you, your family, and the environment.
