Our chocolate milk is made from certified organic milk from pasture-raised cows. The fat content is reduced to 1% and the milk is flavored with organic, fair trade cocoa and sweetened with organic cane sugar - no artificial sweeteners.
We offer Organic Valley® Lowfat 1% Chocolate Milk in two varieties. The Organic Valley® Lowfat 1% Chocolate Milk half gallon is lactose-free. The Organic Valley® Lowfat 1% Chocolate Milk single serve is not lactose-free.
We introduce the natural enzyme "lactase" to the milk. This enzyme breaks down lactose into easily digestible sugars called glucose and galactose. This is a process that normally occurs in the human digestive tract, but that cannot be completed in those who lack that lactase enzyme in their digestive tracts.
