You can use heavy cream to make homemade whipped cream. We know it’s delicious with strawberries for an easy and light dessert, it’s the best part of angel food cake, cream pies, ice cream, pumpkin pie, and the list goes on.
Heavy cream is also commonly used as an ingredient in sweet and savory recipes.
To make homemade whipped topping from our Heavy Whipping Cream, you will need:
-1 pint of Organic Valley® Heavy Whipping Cream, chilled
-1 teaspoon of Vanilla Extract
-3-4 tablespoons of Sugar
*Note: Chill a metal bowl and beaters at least 15 minutes before whipping the cream
Instructions: Place cream in a deep bowl. Whip at medium speed until cream begins to thicken. Raise speed to high and beat until soft peaks form. Beat in vanilla. Gradually beat in sugar. Continue beating until whipped completely, but do not over-whip. Refrigerate and use within an hour upon making it for the best results.
