Cold Brew

- Select a step number to highlight that step.

In a large jar or French press, combine coarsely ground coffee and filtered water. Stir gently to ensure all grounds are saturated.
Cover and refrigerate for 12 to 24 hours. The longer you steep, the stronger the flavor will be.

Tips

  • For the smoothest cold brew, use a 1:4 coffee-to-water ratio and coarse grounds to prevent over-extraction and bitterness.

Strain the cold brew through a fine-mesh strainer lined with cheesecloth or use a French press to separate grounds. Store in refrigerator for up to one week.

Vanilla Cold Foam

- Select a step number to highlight that step.

In a mason jar, combine the Organic Valley® Oat Creamer and sea salt.
Put the lid on the jar and shake vigorously for 30 seconds until foamy.

Assembly

- Select a step number to highlight that step.

Fill two 16 oz glasses with ice cubes, leaving room at the top for foam.
Pour 1 cup of cold brew concentrate over ice in each glass.
Gently spoon or pour the vanilla cold foam over the top of each drink, creating a creamy layer that floats on the surface. Enjoy!

Tips

  • Make cold brew concentrate ahead of time for quick morning drinks all week long.

  • Experiment with different Organic Valley® creamers like Caramel Oat Creamer or French Vanilla Creamer.

  • Double the foam recipe if you prefer extra-thick foam or are making drinks for a crowd.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I make cold brew faster than 12 hours?

While 12 hours is minimum, 6-8 hours will work in a pinch. For stronger flavor in less time, use a finer grind or more coffee.

What's the difference between cold brew and iced coffee?

Cold brew is steeped in cold water for hours, creating a smoother, less acidic flavor. Iced coffee is hot coffee that's cooled down and can taste bitter.
