Inspired by the Ayurvedic roots of Golden Milk, this creamy latte blends Organic Valley® Oat Beverage, turmeric, warm spices, honey, and ghee. A vibrant, nourishing ritual—sip plain or add espresso for a cozy lift.

Ingredients

  • ¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon 
  • ¼ teaspoon ground turmeric 
  • ⅛ teaspoon ground ginger 
  • Pinch ground black pepper 
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 2 ounces espresso
  • 2 tablespoons honey 

Directions

  1. To a medium saucepan, add the Organic Valley® Original Oat Beverage, Organic Valley® Ghee, cinnamon, turmeric, ginger and black pepper and heat over medium-low heat. Stirring occasionally, heat the golden milk until steaming (do not boil).
  2. Remove from heat and add the vanilla extract, then froth with a milk frother if desired. Set aside. 
  3. Brew your espresso in a coffee mug, then stir in the honey until dissolved. Top with the frothed golden milk, then serve!

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, make the golden milk and store in the fridge for up to 3 days. To serve, heat in a saucepan or microwave, then stir in espresso and honey just before drinking!

Regular milk can be used in place of oat beverage. Whole milk, 2% milk, or the Organic Valley® Creamy Oat Beverage are all great substitutes.

Nutmeg, allspice and cloves work great in this recipe. If adding additional spices, start with ⅛ teaspoon and add more to taste.
