Ingredients

Turmeric
1 teaspoon ground turmeric 
Ground Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon 
A glass bottle of maple syrup.
1 tablespoon maple syrup 
A small bottle of vanilla extract.
Splash of vanilla extract 
cinnamon sticks
Optional: 1 cinnamon stick 
black pepper
Optional: pinch of ground black pepper or cayenne 

Directions

In a medium saucepan: In a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine the milk, turmeric, cinnamon, maple syrup and vanilla.
Serve Warm: Simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove from heat. Pour evenly into mugs, add the cinnamon stick, if using it. Sprinkle with black pepper or cayenne, if desired. Serve warm.

Frequently Asked Questions

We recommend whole milk because full-fat options create a creamier result. Our Oat Beverages are also an excellent dairy-free alternative.

Yes! Fresh turmeric root can be used. It has a stronger, earthier flavor. A general guideline is to use a 1-inch piece of fresh, sliced or grated turmeric root for every 1 teaspoon of ground turmeric powder.

While it is traditionally served hot for its soothing qualities, you can definitely enjoy it iced if you prefer.
