This smoothie gets its green hue from nutrition-packed and convenient frozen dark leafy greens like spinach or kale. This smoothie is a nutritional powerhouse that your whole family will love. It’s got a variety of fruits, greens, Grassmilk® and flaxseed for an omega-3 boost, and optional ginger if you like extra zing!

This smoothie gets its green hue from nutrition-packed and convenient frozen dark leafy greens like spinach or kale. This smoothie is a nutritional powerhouse that your whole family will love. It’s got a variety of fruits, greens, Grassmilk® and flaxseed for an omega-3 boost, and optional ginger if you like extra zing!

Ingredients

pineapple
2 cups frozen tropical fruit (ie: pineapple, mango, etc)
A small bunch of spinach.
⅓ cup frozen spinach or kale (or 1 cup fresh)
dried apples
1 medium apple, cored and roughly chopped
chia seeds
2 tablespoons ground flaxseed
A piece of ginger root.
Optional: 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger, or to taste

Directions

Blend all ingredients until smooth, adding more milk if needed. Divide into glasses (6 to 8-ounce servings for kids; 8 to 12 ounces for adults) and enjoy! Makes about 4 cups.
